From prescriptions to timelines
Where it started
While studying for a B Pharm degree, I found myself more drawn to cutting footage than to coursework. I never finished the pharmacy degree, but the hours I spent editing clips of trips, friends, and everyday Kerala life on my phone became the thing I couldn't stop doing.
Teaching myself first
Long before any formal training, I was shooting, editing, and scoring my own reels: choosing the music, pacing the cuts, finding the moment that made a clip worth watching. Those self-taught instincts are the foundation everything after was built on.
Going professional
Seeing the potential in those early reels, my family encouraged me to train formally. I completed a one-year Advanced Diploma in Film Editing & Professional Color Grading at the School of Editing, working with industry-standard tools across narrative, commercial, and music-video projects.
What's next
I'm now looking for an entry-level video editing role where I can keep growing, bringing both my self-taught eye for story and my formal training in editing and color grading.
